European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC) is a joint venture between four technology leaders, TSMC, Bosch, Infineon and NXP, to establish a state-of-the-art semiconductor fab in the heart of Europe. Senior Legal Counsel with focus Labor & Employment Lawyer

Job Summary/Role

ESMC welcomes a person who is willing to support its projects to build a new fab in Dresden as a member of the legal team. Major responsibilities include:

• All labor and employment related activities, supporting HR in all such related matters, incl. corporate governance (e.g., works council interactions)
• As needed, contract negotiation with German, European and global companies. (e.g., HR services, local service providers, likely to include German and English language contracts.)
• General corporate governance and compliance related matters.
• Management and collaboration with outside counsels as well as internal stakeholders (in Dresden, Amsterdam, and Taiwan).

Qualifications and Education

• Qualified lawyer (2. Staatsexamen), minimum 5 years of legal experience in law firm or in-house legal department of a major company, experience in a corporate with preference manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
• Labour law related compliance and broader HR processes, experienced with Data privacy.
• Self-motivated with good communication skill: a person who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders and is able to find solutions and move projects forward with minimum supervision.
• German and English language skills are essential, Mandarin is a plus.
