- Carry out engineering tasks related to train control systems including ETCS and train radio for DB Fernverkehr AG vehicles
- Drive changes or redefinitions and advance vehicle technology in the field with the goal of improved quality
- Perform functional and hazard analyses for relevant components to support safety/risk assessments
- Evaluate innovations and improvement suggestions from idea management regarding costs, benefits, and feasibility
- Test out innovations in close collaboration with operational workshops, experts from relevant departments, and external parties, also in coordination with DB Systemtechnik GmbH experts
- Ensure necessary documentation in compliance with regulations, laws, and guidelines
- Promote professional development measures for internal and cross-departmental knowledge transfer
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Vehicle Technology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge in train control, radio, and/or antenna technology, preferably combined with rail vehicle technology expertise but also open to other industries and fields
- Bring in innovative ideas as a problem solver and drive them forward with proactivity and independence
- Apply economic and analytical thinking along with your technical expertise
- Show professionalism, coordination skills, and effective communication with internal and external partners
