    The Role

    Department Description

At Pharma Manufacturing in Penzberg, we are responsible for the production of active ingredients for commercial products and Phase III clinical trials. The biological manufacturing process under cGMP conditions includes cell culture propagation, fermentation, and active ingredient purification to produce life-saving medications for patients. We work closely with colleagues from other production units, GMP services, Quality, and MSAT.

    Your Team

You will be part of the Cultivation & Analytics group. Together with the team, you will support successful production on all manufacturing process lines. The team centrally conducts all activities for culturing for the provision of fermentation inoculum cultures and combines extensive expertise in process-related analytics. Our manufacturing processes are both well-established and newly implemented, offering exciting opportunities for continuous optimization and innovation. Responsibilities for analytics equipment, hygiene, and occupational safety provide additional opportunities for development and variety. Openness, honesty, respect, and appreciation are the cornerstones of our team and a prerequisite for enjoying work.

    Your Responsibilities

Your tasks include work in our cultivation and analytics laboratories. You support the production of culture media, prepare the laboratory, and coordinate daily tasks. You cultivate cell cultures on a laboratory scale in spinner flasks and shake flasks, performing all necessary activities such as sampling, sample measurement, and of course, sterile cell culture subcultivation. You operate automation scripts and document your work in compliance with GMP in the manufacturing instructions.

You take care of process-related analytics in manufacturing, assuming responsibility for the proper availability of various analysis equipment in the units (e.g., Cedex Bio, Cedex HiRes) and supporting measurements. Additionally, you assist in error investigations, qualifications and validations, procedure revisions, and project-related tasks (e.g., improving data integrity).

Your Profile Fits Well with Us If

    • You have completed training as a biology or chemistry laboratory technician or have a background in food technology or pharmacy
    • You have gained experience in culturing cell cultures
    • You have professional experience (preferably in a laboratory or production environment)
    • You appreciate collaborative and open teamwork
    • You enjoy interdisciplinary practical work because we support each other
    • You are proactive and face changes openly and courageously
    • You value good development opportunities. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced employee, your continuous personal and professional development is very important to us, and we support you in this
    • You are willing to work on weekends, holidays, and in clean rooms. When planning work, your health is important to us, and we also ensure fair allowances

This position is temporary for 2 years.

We look forward to your application
