    Stryker's Sports Medicine business delivers a wide range of innovative sports medicine implants, instrumentation, resection, advanced software technology, and biologic solutions.     Your key responsibilities:

  • Determine and implement design approaches and parameters for new products in the sports medicine field.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability of new designs.
  • Analyze equipment performance and establish operating data through experimental tests and evaluations.
  • Select components and equipment based on thorough analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are cost-efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor capabilities to support product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on assigned projects and topics to the supervisor.
  • Interact telephonically with customers to understand and resolve product issues promptly.
  • What are we looking for?

  • You have successfully completed your studies in the field of Engineering/Mechanical/Biomedical or comparable.
  • At best, you have gained first work experiences in a R&D function, ideally in a highly regulated industry.
  • We also consider relevant internship experiences.
  • You are a self-driven and open-minded communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. As a team player, you can collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Your exceptional analytical skills and adept planning abilities enable you to organize effectively.
  • Fluent English skills complete your profile.

    Additional information

    Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments.

    This role is initially limited to a one-year duration.
