    Responsibilities

    :

    Supply Chain Strategy

  • Be responsible for translating market needs per segment into Supply Chain specific customer needs in collaboration with Marketing and Clariant Excellence department
  • You will direct the design and execution of differentiated SC strategies per segment (e.g. agile, efficient, project, collaborative etc.), aligned with BU strategy
  • You shall oversee the coordination of the existing product portfolio and product transfer and cross-functional team collaboration in the S&OP process for new product introductions, Phase-out, and consolidatation
  • You will take accountability for the improvement of environmental and social impact of the extended Supply Chain
  • Organizational Capability

  • In this role you will take responsibility for the global Supply Chain structure, roles & responsibilities, and governance in line with the overall strategy
  • You will need to lead by example to foster unbiased decision-making for overall cross-functional business benefit, embeding a culture of team reflection of successes/failures. You should leverage key internal and external resources to build own content knowledge of industry and business trends
  • It will be your duty to develop a high-performing team that has the required capabilities to fulfill their defined roles. Mentor high potential employees and coach senior managers in Supply Chain topics.
  • You will ensure the development of high potential employees including movement from/to other functions, as well as the development plans for all direct reports
  • Network Optimization

  • You will oversee the quantified network optimization used for decision-making of inventory locations and material flows to increase profitability. Assess large M&A proposals from a SC perspective and provide recommendations
  • You will be the responsible decision maker for BU inventory levels in collaboration with BU leadership team. Define decision framework for regions to define inventory policies, set targets in line with strategy and financial objectives, cascaded per region
  • You will steer the BU warehousing strategy (e.g. owned or 3PL) based on SC segmentation, empowers regional SC teams to execute and manage the chosen strategy
  • You will take ownership for the global BU Supply Chain risk management and contingency plan, ensure country level risk & contingency plans are in place. Escalation point in global contingency planning.
  • Integrated Processes

  • You will oversees the strategic S&OP process to ensure profitable, cross-functional trade-offs. Chairs the Strategic S&OP, and prepares fact-based decision-making proposals to BU MC (e.g. product allocation principles, network optimization etc.)
  • The integration of cross-functional business processes will be direct by you
  • Overseeing the defined logistics strategies per SC segment are executed as defined will be within your remit. This will include efining targets in terms of service and cost
  • You will be accountable for the development and improvement of required KPI dashboards to analyse and improve performance vs. targets
  • Requirements:

  • Higher university degree in relevant field, preferably Masters or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar fields
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, including experience in more than one supply chain function
  • Experienced (5+years) in managing direct and indirect reports from across various geographic locations, with strong cultural fitness, and well-developed coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Experienced in leading S&OP processes, ideally at a strategic level
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated ability to influence supply chain performance drivers
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve Financial performance
  • Proven track record of large scale change management, specifically supply chain transformation, influencing across management levels, and working with cross functional teams
  • Experienced in using SAP or similar ERP-based systems and can demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant processes
  • Language skills: English mandatory. Other languages such as German, Spanish or Chinese would be advantageous
  • Formal leadership, coaching and mentoring, financial, negotiation, logistics training would be advantageous
  • Training in tools such as PowerBI, SAP APO would be advantageous
  • Supply Chain Certification (e.g. APICS CSCMP, CPIM) would be advantageous
