- Proficiency in Linux OS and shell scripting
- Expertise in performance analysis and optimization of scientific applications in HPC environments
- Sound programming skills in Fortran or C/C++ with OpenMP and MPI
- Knowledge of system, network, and storage technologies in cluster computing
- Structured work approach, high social competence
- Proficiency in German and English
- Assisting scientists in application installation/porting and migration of research projects to the HPC research cluster
- Contributing to the ongoing development of HPC and data services
- Conducting system usage analysis and performance optimization

kiz houses the state-wide competence center for Computational Chemistry and Quantum Sciences, with the JUSTUS 2 research cluster in Ulm supporting scientists in these fields across the state.
The bwHPC-S5 Phase 3 project, funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (MWK), aims to enhance High Performance Computing (HPC), Data Intensive Computing (DIC), and Large Scale Scientific Data Management (LS2DM) across the state, providing top-notch support to scientific research groups.
