    Amazon is lookingto hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessedSenior Project Engineering Manager that can drive innovation,standardization and expansion in the Amazon logistics (AMZL)network.

    As a member of the MEU Field Engineering team you will beresponsible for managing a broad range of exciting deploymentprojects including new launches, Automated solutions, MaterialHandling Equipment (MHE) re-layouts and other building retrofitimprovements.

    Location within MEU / DE can differ uponagreement with Recruiter and HM.
    Location available areinside our delivery station in: Berlin, Munich, Nürnberg, Hamburg,Stuttgart, Bochum, Weitertadt, Moosburg

    Keyjob responsibilities

    • Managing highly complex concurrentprojects related to the deployment of engineering solutions indelivery stations of MEU Amazon Logistics (AMZL)network
    • Owning a program or a portfolio of projectsrelated to launches or retrofits of different technology typesincluding Automation, Material Handling Equipment or other buildingimprovement projects
    • Leading the whole project/programlifecycle from concept and budgeting creation to handover atcompletion to relevant stakeholders
    • Handlingindependently or with minimal guidance different tactical phases ofthe projects/program. This may include dealing with substantialconstraints related to resource allocation, capex and timelineslinked to business requirements
    • Interacting with seniorlevel management across different functions to provide trade offsolutions that satisfy potential conflicts
    • Identifyinginefficiencies of processes or standards within the allocatedcountry or at European level and proactively leading improvementswith the relevant teams

    You will plan and manage execution of engineeringprojects in AMZL delivery stations primarily across MEU or EU ifrequired.

    Your day could include cross-functional engagement withinthe organization to agree program strategy, attend the site tomonitor deployment progresses, plan and manage resources to executeactivities according to business goals, enable efficient mechanismsto handover to customers.

    You will make strategic decisions onbehalf of the business and see the outcome come to fruition throughcoordination of stakeholders, both internal and third party, andfinally celebrating in the successful launch of the project...

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - Bachelor'sdegree in Engineering discipline or equivalent

    • Workingexperience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Process Engineering or equivalent
    • Working experienceas Project Manager of multiple complex projects or as Programmanager
    • Working experience in managing project/programlifecycle on crossfunctional aspects (i.e. Budget creation, vendortendering, execution, handover to customer mechanisms etc.)
    • Proficiency in planning and analysis tools: Excel& Microsoft Project or similar
    • Proficiency inengineering design tools: AutoCAD or similar
    • Experiencein managing multiple stakeholders to deliver projects/programincluding external vendors
    • Experience in thecommissioning of automated machinery and entire systems
    • Experience in working with analysis tools for KPI reporting (i.
    e.
    PowerBI or similar)

    • Knowledge of Six Sigma analyticaland process improvement techniques
    • Written and spokenproficiency in German language (B2/C1)

    PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

    - Master Degree in Engineering or Businessequivalent

    • Experience with working within LogisticsAutomated environment
    • Strong analytical and datadriven skills
    • Clear and concise in verbal and writtencommunication
    • Ability to communicate across anincreasing diversity of areas (i.e. legal, Operations, Finance,Safety, regulatory, external industry groups, etc.)
    • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and on Peak periods
