    Adaptivity is an essential part for the networked world of tomorrow. Intelligent components can detect and evaluate changes in the environment or in the system itself and adapt to them independently. As a partner of industry, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS develops key technologies for adaptive systems with about 110 employees in Dresden and offers innovative technologies and robust solutions.

    The researchers at the AI Laboratory for Test and Prototyping at IIS/EAS are enabling the transfer of latest methods of Artificial Intelligence into demanding application scenarios like predictive maintenance, energy management for buildings and industrial processes, or collaborative robotics and autonomous systems.

    The main research areas cover model based design methods, trustworthy and explainable AI, rapid prototyping of smart systems and last not least validation in real-world scenarios.

    What you do with us

    With respect to your background knowledge and expertise you will support the team in the following areas:

    • Data analytics, e.g. for time series of sensors
    • implementation and testing of machine learning methods in embedded systems
    • generation of time series using generative AI
    • set up of test scenarios in our vibration laboratory
    • automation of test procedures and report generation
    • Literature research regarding current trends in AI

    What you bring along

    You...

    • are studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or similar
    • have good knowledge in high-level programming languages like Python or MATLAB,
    • have experience in fields like system modeling, test + measurement, sensors and embedded systems is an asset, but not a must
    • good communication skills both verbally and written
    • fluent English, German is a plus
