KG Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Compression Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Business Development Manager (f/m/d) for Europe and Africa is tasked with driving the growth of the service business in alignment with regional partners. This role focuses on expanding the existing compression service business while also spearheading the development of new opportunities in the region. You will identify and lead key growth initiatives, working closely with the regional sales and business development teams, as well as the global Portfolio & Innovation Team in the Compression Service unit.This role will report into the Head of Service Region Europe & Africa for Compression and can be based in any Siemens Energy location in Europe close by or at Le Havre France or Duisburg – Germany. We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader, dedicated to shape our Compression Service organization with a high focus on customers. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead the development of growth initiatives within the region. This includes: support measure owners with business plan development, highlight of road blocks to management, develop new initiatives, support the Head of Service Region EU&AF on report outs, participate in idea generation workshops
  • Promote Value Selling Concepts/Strategies by Product/Solution Type. This includes supporting the client facing team on growth initiative implementation
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Compression fleet in the region, by analyzing fleet penetration, the service potential behind all countries and frame families, service-lines (parts, repair, field service, M&U, LTP, digital services), the success of local growth initiatives, with the aim of identifying the most-promising growth opportunities in the regional market
  • Support the introduction of new products, services, solutions in the regional market, working closely to the global Portfolio and Innovation team and the local business development and sales teams
  • Support the Head of Service Region EU&AF as required, which may include: Market evaluation and analysis on key market segments or clients, support MEP annual process, competitor profile development
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify growth areas and customer requirements
  • Continuously collect market and competitive intelligence for the Compression Service business in the region
  • What You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing or similar qualification and several years of work experience
  • Experience in rotating equipment, familiar with aftermarket services
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and empower teams and partners
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages applicable for the assigned region being an advantage
  • Willingness to travel international as required
