- Perform Engineering design tasks for New Products and current serial production machines as defined by Senior design engineers and Team leader.
- Create new mechanical designs and perform design changes in Creo 3D CAD and Engineering Bill of Materials in PLM system of the company.
- Cooperate with Engineers inhouse, at other Yanmar locations and external design services companies as determined by technical leader for different projects.
- Perform design calculations (strength, performance etc) to support component selections and new designs.
- Support component selection in cooperation with Purchasing Department -taking into account economic aspects of design.
- Document design activities as drawings, technical guidelines and calculation files.
- Actively work with other departments (prototype, test, purchasing, planning, Production etc) to ensure designs are reliable, robust and can be mass produced.
- Qualification as a state-certified mechanical engineer
- 2-3 years of professional experience in the construction of mobile machinery (for example, construction or agricultural machinery, industrial trucks, commercial vehicles), especially in steel structures with hydraulic /electro-hydraulic systems is preferred.
- Experience in the field of design change management is desirable.
- Experience with drawing and design programs in 2D and 3D (ProE-Creo) or comparable systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ability to communicate in English (spoken and written) and German is a must.
- Strong motivation to improve knowledge and deliver quality and error free designs will be tested.
- Candidate should be flexible, reliable, be a team player and capable to work independently.
