My client operates in the financial services sector in Germany, incorporating technology with financial services. They are in search of an Information Security Officer (ISO) to join their team.

Role:

• Perform automated effectiveness checks on information security management (ISM) and vulnerability management systems.
• Create hardening specifications (TOSM) based on best practices like CIS benchmarks.
• Ensure proper implementation of hardening specifications.
• Assist in the technical evaluation of vulnerabilities using the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) in operational contexts.
• Generate management-focused reports and metrics.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and assess penetration tests for both internal and external clients.
• Enhance and advance digitized processes.
• Develop specifications according to ISO 2700x standards and CIS benchmarks.
• Provide guidance on information security matters.
• Support security awareness initiatives.

Profile

• Degree in (business) informatics, mathematics, information technology, or related fields.
• Several years of work experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Technical proficiency in information security/IT security, particularly in creating hardening specifications and conducting vulnerability assessments.
• Expertise in IT security deviation assessments.
• Strong programming abilities in Python, Java, and other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with tools such as Qualys Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, and Web Application Scanning is a plus.
• Fluent in business German (minimum at C1 level) and proficient in English (B2 level).
• Strong sense of accountability.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Skilled in conflict resolution and assertiveness.
• Exceptional teamwork capabilities.
