    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Technicians are an integral part of our Maintenance team. Their experience, practical knowledge, creativity and problem solving skills will ensure that the aircraft are maintained in an airworthy and dispatch ready status at all times.

  • Carry out maintenance, repair, modification and daily inspection of the company aircraft as detailed in the company maintenance control manual
  • Ensure the work accomplished on any aircraft or component is in compliance with:
  • Applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions
  • Company Policies and Procedures
  • Regulated safety standards
  • Interpret and use various test equipment and work from wiring diagrams, blueprints and maintenance manuals.
  • Repair, install and modify avionics systems
  • Configure avionics systems and perform software updates
  • Ensure that all replacement parts are inspected, eligible and properly certified prior to installation
  • Ensure that removed parts are properly tagged and routed to quarantine
  • Complete and certify work reports for all work accomplished on the aircraft
  • Follow company procedures as per the maintenance control manual using safe work practices
  • Carry out both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards
  • Carry out Independent Checks when authorized as per company policies and procedures
  • Carry out Receiving Inspections when authorized as per company policies and procedures
  • Other related duties may be assigned
  • Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years avionics/electrical systems maintenance experience within a military or commercial air operator environment
  • European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) B2 Aircraft Maintenance License, an asset
  • Able and willing to take an Aircraft Maintenance training course on Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Regulations and write a certifying exam, an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong command of both the English and German language in order to read, understand and interpret manuals, policies and procedures
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge
  • Able to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, Innovation and Integrity

  • Working Conditions

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and shift work
  • Will be required to work outdoors
  • May be required to travel

  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.
  • Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

    Must have or be able to obtain NATO Secret clearance with the German Government.
