    ki:elements pioneers speech-based assessment of neurological and psychiatric pathologies. The company uses AI-based speech biomarkers to screen and monitor mental and neurological health. We use our technology to improve clinical trials, working with top players in the pharmaceutical and academic sectors.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled team colleague to support us in the development of our speech processing engine Sigma.

    Tasks

    • Designing and developing our speech processing engine Sigma as part of our development team
    • Understandingspeech on a physical and acoustic level
    • Implementingfeatures that leverage speech analysis in pathologicalcontexts (e.g. speech properties that indicate depressed mood in major depressive disorder or motor impairment in Parkinson's disease)
    • Working interdisciplinarily with Developers, Data Scientists, Medical & Pharmaceutical experts to build and release products and services that make an impact on the progress of clinical research
    • Supporting product owner as a stronghold for deep and technical speech analysis questions

    Requirements

    • You have completed a degree in computer science, signal processing or related fields with a strong focus on speech processing and acoustic engineering
    • You have 3+ years of experience in the field
    • You have a significant level of expertise in Python and C/C++
    • You have a good understanding of processes and relevant experience with version management and CI/CD tools (e.g. Gitlab)
    • You have experience with different microphones and recoding settings
    • You are comfortable with a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and eager to tackle new challenges
    • You are capable of working autonomously or as part of a small team, showcasing a proactive and self-driven approach to problem-solving
    • You have very good written and spoken English skills
