What we aim to do together:
Quality management, a vital part of REWE Group Buying GmbH, supports the national and international procurement of products across all categories. As a Consultant Bio and Organic Agriculture, you will act as a key link between our quality management, purchasing department, and own-brand suppliers. By conducting internal and external audits of our suppliers, you ensure compliance with both legal and internal REWE standards to guarantee that our BIO own-brands meet the highest quality criteria.

What you will be responsible for:

• Defining the requirements for products from organic farming and our organic own-brands, and ensuring their compliance.
• Collaborating closely with the purchasing department to develop risk assessments and derived control plans to verify compliance with the specifications for products from organic farming.
• Engaging with logistics and sales teams on the requirements for trading products from organic farming, informing about changes in legal regulations, and determining the resulting actions.
• Organizing the necessary certifications according to EU Organic Regulation for national facilities and markets.
• Promoting knowledge and experience exchange within the REWE Group internationally.

What we are looking for:

• Above all, your personality: You are passionate about the organic food industry and the transformation of the agricultural and food sector. You work independently and prioritize your tasks proactively.
• You have a degree in Agricultural Sciences, Food Technology, or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in association work and/or political advocacy, preferably in the agricultural, nutrition, or environmental sector.
• Experience in conducting internal and external audits and implementing audit recommendations, preferably in organic farming and the organic food industry.
• Good knowledge of common quality standards and systems, as well as the legal requirements for organic food.
