    As a Cloud Architect, you plan and design the use of our software products both as SaaS solutions in a public cloud and as a container-based solution for installation in private clouds / data centers of our enterprise customers. You support the software architecture and development teams in deciding on the most suitable base technology, the appropriate design patterns for the software architecture and the right approaches for technical packaging and deployment . You advise and support software development and professional services in migrating classic web application server architectures towards standardized, cloud-based software solutions.

    Tasks

    • Conception of suitable architectural approaches for our software products, focus on standardization and configurable product solutions in both the public and private cloud
    • Advising and participation in software development in the implementation of cloud and container-specific aspects as well as management of pilot projects
    • Continuously assessing current developments and innovations in the dynamic cloud environment and deriving appropriate measures in infrastructure selection and development methodology
    • Support and advice on pilot projects during the rollout of cloud solutions in specific infrastructure, application and customer scenarios
    • Internal expert for cloud topics and assessment of the feasibility of new requirements

    Requirements

    • You have several years of practical experience in the area of cloud platforms and with cloud infrastructure, container systems (e.g. Kubernetes) and deployment technologies (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).
    • You have hands -on expertise in the area of PaaS/IaaS on the platforms of the relevant hyperscalers (Azure, AWS) and have already successfully deployed software systems in the public cloud . You have practically implemented architectural aspects such as authentication, process management and load balancing .
    • You have experience in analyzing existing software solutions and bring optimization approaches to the team in a constructive and structured manner.
    • You are proficient in a programming language and have the ability to familiarize yourself with new technologies and test and evaluate their suitability for our product development. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues.
    • You have good communication skills and very good written and spoken English skills.
