    Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany

    Hauptaufgaben

    Incumbent is, especially, during FTX Support but as well as during regular duty, the person who will direct tasks to all subordinated personnel assigned to the section. This will be done to existing rules, to orally given directives from superiors or due to the necessity to accomplish unit's (section's) mission. In charge to prepare, due to given rules, standards or due to directives, the "Taeglicher Dienstplan" (daily workschedule). Incumbent has to ensure that even shortest noticed changes (24 hrs or less) to requirements will be incorporated into the schedule. Prepares it for the other sections too, after coordination with them. Responsible for the punctual announcement. Ensures that personnel assigned to the section will have vehicles/equipment assigned, ensures that spare vehicles/equipment are assigned to the teams. Supports the Supply clerk/Admin clerk in their tasks to transport sensitive items (NVG, GPS, MILES and more) assigned to the section, to respective facilities on scheduled SERVICE days, or if necessary. Initiates or coordinates upon notice or directive the necessary repair of vehicles and equipment. Ensures the issue of materials necessary for mission accomplishment. In case of need he issues sensitive items and LOG BOOKS. Ensures that all BII equipment of vehicles (includes heavy trucks), and all materials designated for mission accomplishment are on hand, correctly stored and secured. Performs independently necessary inventories. Ensures that drivers who removed installed equipment from vehicles (for example due to the need to evacuate vehicle to next higher maintenance activity) will store the items correctly. Assists the Hand Receipt Holders in performing inventories. He is responsible to grant supply with POL and PYRO. Responsible that POL necessary for mission accomplishment will be ordered, reordered, transported, stored correctly and secured. (FOG OIL, if applicable JP-8). Responsible that pyrotechnis necessary for mission accomplishment are on hand. Coordinates therefore with respective US and civilian officials that proper amount will be on hand and will be transported from ASP II to unit's area of responsibility. Ensures that issue of pyrotechnics to the firemarkers is granted and will be done due to rules. Ensures that burned?out pyrotechnis and residue will be disposed in accordance to existing rules. Gives directives to the "Motor vehicle operators (HAZMAT)" give them instructions and controls accomplishment. Instructs personnel in TAF and the Lead FM about the assignment of tasks to single firemarker. Assigns necessary tasks to subordinated lead personnel (Firemarker Control Operators, Lead Firemarker). Performs spot checks, or upon directive or due to instructions the accomplishment of tasks assigned to each personnel assigned to the section. Performs spot checks of tasks performed by the Lead FM. Is the direct supervisor of the "Motor vehicle operator (HAZMAT)" so far as not tasked to perform duties as "Smoke generator operator", he is the direct supervisor to any person determined to handle with HAZMAT. Controls accomplishment of "Firemissions", especially these of special interest like "FASCAM", "SMOKE". In case of need gives support in execution of these missions to the firemarkers. In case of differences in executing these missions, coordinates solution between respective involved parties (BLUEFOR, OPFOR, Observer/Controller, TAF, direct US superiors). Monitors radio nets and the situation on the ?Battlefield? (Flow of the battle, weather and more). Instructs, if necessary, respective personnel. Helps firemarker if they need technical assistance, recovery or if they need to be re supplied with pyrotechnis. Might be tasked to perform firemissions. Coordinates with the Training Instructor the training of new instated personnel and on the job training. After new instated personnel has completed the course "Firemarker Certification", he administers the praxis examination. Ensures that prior to any deployment into the training area in support of exercises, briefings will be held as well as safety briefings. Assists in developing safety standard briefings. Ensures that instructions and safety briefings will be held periodically. Prepares independently papers, tables, forms and more, in accomplishment of his duties. Prepares as directed different paperwork. Maintains mission related files.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifikationsanforderungen

    KH-06:
    E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.

    Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

    E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
    E&T Level III: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
    E&T Level IV: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
    E&T Level V: No additional experience required.

    Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

    Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

    Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.

    • Office automation skills are required.

    • Applicants must be in possession or willing to obtain German HAZMAT Certificate.

    • Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class C1.

    • German driver's license class C desired.

    LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
    English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
