- The focus of your responsibility is the design of the mechanical integration of the drive unit into the bogie. You will play a decisive role in raising the ride comfort of our rail vehicles to a new level.
- You will clarify mechanical interfaces, draw up specifications and evaluate the technical design of the drive unit (motor, gear box, clutch).
- You are involved in the development process of the drive unit beginning with the concept up to starting of passenger operation. Further you manage the quality gates with our internal drive unit partners and make sure that alle requirements for the drive unit are fulfilled.
- In addition, you are calculating the power loss of the gear box for optimizing the efficiency of the drive unit together with our internal drive unit partners.
- You will actively incorporate functional and development principles into the design process and work closely with other trades as well as internal and external interface partners.
- You will carefully coordinate all system solutions that you develop with an experienced system specialist who has overall responsibility for the topic.
- You have a master's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or another engineering specialization.
- You have already gained experience in the realization of specifications for system solutions in your previous job, ideally in the field of rail vehicles.
- Experience with simulation tools is a plus, but not a must.
- You are business fluent in English and ideally have a good command of written and spoken German.
