- You will be part of the Communication & External Affairs DACH team, closely collaborating with colleagues in the Offshore Wind (OFW) division in Hamburg. You will report to the Government Affairs Lead, OFW in Berlin.
- Monitoring and preparing current political and regulatory topics for strategic advice on OFW projects and as a basis for developing bp's positions for political advocacy.
- Contributing to the development of bp's political OFW positions in association committees and industry-specific institutions at federal and state levels.
- Identifying, defining, and managing stakeholders' needs and engagements, including communities, politics, and interest groups, focusing on the five coastal states.
- Developing engagement plans aligned with the needs of OFW projects and the C&EA DACH-L position.
- Identifying non-technical (including legal, regulatory, reputational, political, and social) risks and developing appropriate mitigation measures for support.
- Collaborating with C&EA in creating relevant content (e.g., community information sheets and communication materials) and leveraging digital content, media, partnerships, sponsorships, etc. – including direct engagement.
- Several years of experience in government affairs or advocacy with an established network of relationships.
- Completed university degree.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in the energy sector, preferably Offshore Wind power, and electricity experience.
