- Works under the guidance of the Program Manager (PM) for the initial six months, in collaboration with the Educator, Preceptor, or an Inpatient Services CAP RN 2, 3, 4, or 5.
- Expected to fulfill the criteria to progress to the next Inpatient CAP level, based on eligibility, within 24 months of employment.
- Conducts systematic patient data collection and analysis pre, during, and post-treatment, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Assesses daily patient care requirements, collaborating with direct and ancillary staff, and liaising with dialysis providers and hospital personnel for continued patient care.
- Enforces policy compliance particularly in emergency response situations and delegates tasks appropriately to direct patient care staff.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to FKC policies and procedures, emphasizing infection control, equipment safety, and patient education.
- Undertakes ongoing quality improvement activities and serves as a resource for the healthcare team, aiding in staff training and orientation.
- Participates in essential staff meetings and may be assigned duties in Outpatient facilities as needed.
- Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, values, and customer service approach, performing additional duties as assigned within established standards.
- Oversees Patient Care Technicians/LPNs in a leadership capacity post achieving FKC education and modality-specific training requirements, coupled with at least 9 months of RN experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Possess current state licensure meeting practice standards in all employed states.
- Entry-level for RNs with limited nephrology nursing experience, with additional experience preferred.
- Completion of FKC Education, CPR BLS Certification, and ongoing training obligations.
- Must meet employment conditions including Ishihara's Color Blindness Test and annual competencies.
