We are looking for a (Senior) Mechanical Engineer / Konstrukteur (m/f/d) to join our headquarters in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. This role will join the Product Development department and work on exciting laboratory devices as part of project teams. We work agile and collaborate with teammates from various departments to develop new and innovative high-tech products. Our Development team is diverse and multinational.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the CAD Design of our products together with our Hardware team
• Creating new and modified designs for mechanical systems and assemblies
• Validation of your concepts by building prototypes using 3D Printing
• Development of prototypes into their final state, including creating technical documentation
• Writing assembly manuals and prepare Bill of Materials
• Maintaining design documentation with an established change workflow, following ISO 9001 and other applicable standards

You will actively collaborate with both the Development and Operations teams to shape our products with your ideas and concepts. Each day, you'll encounter a variety of design tasks and new challenges, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Technical grade as bachelor or state certified technician in the field of mechanical engineering or similar
• In-depth knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Minimum 2 years industry experience in mechanical engineering
• Confident application of the relevant standards and regulations
• Knowledge in surface treatment and machining methods is preferred
• Fluent German and good English skills for internal and external communication
