Project engineer generator technology (m/f/d) for protective devices in power plants at Champion for

Energy Systems Location:
Leipzig (preferred), Erlangen, Porto, Lisbon, Budapest

My client is the Gas Services business unit within a large electrical company. Gas turbines, steam turbines and generators are supplied from a single source. Off-shore wind farms are increasingly becoming part of the program. Your future team will take care of new systems and modernization of protective devices on generators in power plants.

A laboratory is available for research purposes.
In this role, you will work closely with an international team and product and project managers.

Time plays a certain role here: you have to use maintenance intervals and customers are happy about every hour that they can get back online sooner.

You have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large fossil to industrial plants.
Engineering of electrical projects (protection and excitation systems)
Create technical project documentation such as protection SLDs (Single Line Diagram), Trip Matrix (protection setting), control cabinet layouts, circuit diagrams of protection, synchronization and excitation systems based on project specific requirements
Development of protection software (DIGSI project)
Collaborate with go-to-market and bid management to create technical concepts and descriptions, schedules and cost calculations
You should also ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the project specifications

Experience in the field of electrical protection technology, preferably generator protection in all project phases desirable (experience with protection relays from Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Efacec an advantage)
Knowledge of auxiliary electrical energy supply and operating modes (hydro, thermal, industrial power plants)
Willingness to work in a specialist group in an international environment and to carry out commissioning activities on construction sites
Fluent English skills – mandatory. Knowledge of German is an advantage
