Job summary
We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to model, simulate and optimize ion trap systems.Responsibilities
- Model static and time-dependent electrostatic potentials of segmented ion traps
- Simulate RF (Paul trap) fields and derive effective (pseudopotential) trapping potentials
- Compute magnetic field distributions including gradients and field stability,
- SImulate microwave field distributions for qubit control and coupling,
- Simulate single- and multi-ion dynamics in time-dependent potentials,
- Analyze ion shuttling protocols including transport speed motional excitationand heating, Evaluate stability regions secular frequencies micromotion effects,
- Develop parameterized COMSOL models to explore design trade-offs extract physical quantities such astrap depths frequencies field homogeneity validate simulation results against analytical models experimental data automate simulation workflows where appropriate via COMSOL LiveLink.
