- Own and drive the strategic procurement agenda for assigned commodities across the EMEA region, with a strong focus on Capital Equipment, Spare Parts, and technical services.
- Shape and implement regional procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, lead time, and compliance while supporting manufacturing and investment priorities.
- Act as a trusted procurement partner for EMEA manufacturing sites and cross‐functional stakeholders on strategic investment initiatives.
- Ensure full alignment with global Clarios Procurement Standards, Corporate Ethics Policies, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to sustainable cost optimization, value creation, and risk mitigation across the EMEA procurement landscape.
- Develop and execute regional category strategies for assigned commodities.
- Conduct spend analyses, supply market analyses, benchmarking, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Build, maintain, and further develop supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and cost optimization.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations, including cost breakdowns, should‐cost analyses, and payment term optimization.
- Actively participate in cross‐functional cost‐reduction projects and new product introduction teams.
- Ensure compliance with Clarios Procurement Standards, Corporate Ethics Policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize and maintain procurement systems such as SAP, SRM, and e‐procurement platforms.
- Lead procurement activities for Capital Equipment, spare parts, and technical services to support investment projects across the EMEA region.
- Manage the full RFQ process for Capex: prepare bid packages, evaluate supplier proposals, conduct bid reviews, and support supplier selection in collaboration with Engineering, Operations, EH&S, and Project Management.
- Analyze technical specifications and cost data to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment in close alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of Capex approval documentation by consolidating quotations, project timelines, investment justifications, and risk assessments.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate supply risks related to lead times, technical performance, and supplier capacity.
- Contribute to the EMEA Spare Parts strategy, including supplier evaluation, standardization efforts, and optimization of spare parts costs and inventories.
- Identify cost‐saving opportunities in Spare Parts and Capex tail spend and drive related initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Program Management, EH&S, and global Procurement teams.
- Participate in investment project meetings and provide procurement expertise.
- Support stakeholders through market research, technical comparison analyses, and supplier development recommendations).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Several years of procurement experience, ideally including several years in Capital Equipment / technical purchasing
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and commodity management.
- Proven experience in international supplier management and negotiations.
- Technical understanding of machinery, equipment, and industrial systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, including cost analysis and benchmarking.
- Knowledge of European procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in SAP, SRM, and e‐procurement systems; experience with Capex tracking tools is a plus.
