As part of the city utilities in Weimar, we operate the local electricity and gas supply network, making a significant contribution to the reliable and efficient energy supply in Weimar. In the Technical department, we are currently looking for a Technician (m/f/d) for the technical network operation of electricity or gas. The tasks to be carried out mainly include the inspection and maintenance of technical supply and measuring systems. They range from simple control tasks to challenging specialized work. With the advancing digitalization, new challenges will need to be tackled in the near future. Within the Network Operations department, you will work across sectors with network technicians from the electricity, gas, and communication technology divisions. Your responsibilities include:

• Inspection, maintenance, and repair measures and their digital and analog documentation
• Execution of switching operations at stations and networks
• Supervision of service companies, instruction on systems, cable locating
• Metering work and reading
• Troubleshooting and resolution
• Commissioning of own and customer systems
• Participation in standby duty

Professional requirements:

• Completed vocational training in a technical profession
• Knowledge of the structure and function of an electricity or gas distribution network and the legal framework
• Proficient in modern communication tools and common user software
• Class BE driver's license advantageous
