    (SENIOR) TECHNICIAN/RESEARCH ASSOCIATE VACCINE DEVELOPMENT (M/F/D)

Great Because we are looking for a (Senior) Laboratory Technician or a Research Associate (m/f/d) to help with the Research and Development of new vaccines and vaccine platforms to shape Bavarian Nordic ́s future vaccine products.

    At our R&D site in Martinsried, Germany, you will have the opportunity to strengthen our research team of highly motivated and dedicated scientists and technicians. Together, we develop new and innovative vaccine platforms to induce immune responses specifically tailored to a variety of different pathogens.

    The position is 90 % on-site.

    • Expressing and purifying proteins from bacterial and mammalian expression systems using FPLC
    • Help develop new vaccines by performing virological, molecular biological, and immunological in vitro assays, e.g. virus titration assays, characterization of recombinant vaccine candidates, Western blots, ELISA, flow cytometry
    • Planning and organizing experiments incl. accurate documentation and preparing data for reports and presentations
    • Engage with scientists, technicians, trainees (university students), and adjacent departments

    • Medical or Biological laboratory assistant/technician (MTA, BTA) or equivalent (e.g. CTA, PTA)or a university degree in life sciences (for Research Associate)
    • Experience in cell-based and molecular biology methods, including standard cell culture techniques
    • Experience with protein purification and characterization
    • Previous experience with bacterial expression systems, particularly bacterial fermentation in small bioreactors would be an advantage
    • Good documentation and communication skills in German and English, knowledge in standard computer programs (MS Office)
    • Ability and motivation to work self-dependently, effectively, and flexibly as part of a team
