~ The Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer is a key technical role for Nikon SLM Solutions, guiding customers on their additive manufacturing adoption journey from pre-to-post machine sale. Working with both new to AM and seasoned AM technology adopters, the Application Engineer will evaluate and consult on customer parts, develop business case analyses, consult on design for additive manufacturing, setup files and documentation for print jobs, print parts, and report results to the customer. Provide technical guidance across the additive manufacturing value chain to support the sale of Nikon SLM Solutions products
Execute projects for customers from project scoping, proposal, printing, post processing, testing, and reporting
Conduct advanced training programs at customer sites and at the headquarters in Lübeck
Bachelors or Master's degree in an engineering discipline
At least 2 years' previous experience, for senior 5+ years post-bachelor's experience in LPBF
Desire to train others in the use of additive manufacturing and demonstrated passion for how additive manufacturing is successfully implemented
Demonstrated ability to manage several ongoing processes and projects
Proven experience with part and data preparation software, such as Materialise Magics, Autodesk Netfabb, or equivalent software
Domestic and international travel up to 30%
