What makes our team within IPS special? We are IPS/ and we are responsible for Offset, Circular Economy, Purchasing, Superstructures & Services. Our aim is to generate real added value, i.e. we ensure optimum prices and security of supply within the Group. In doing so, we are a strategic partner for our specialist departments. The IPS/ team at Mercedes-Benz Group AG will continue to make its contribution to the Group in the future. As an intern, you will play an active role in shaping the future of our company.

Your challenge:

Operational purchasing: Obtaining supplier offers, preparing offer comparisons and processing purchasing contracts for required goods/services from suppliers in compliance with IPS purchasing guidelines and strategy

Strategic purchasing: working on project topics, negotiating contract terms with suppliers and helping to draw up purchasing strategies

Operational sales: preparing tenders and bid comparisons, as well as processing sales contracts for the sale of residual materials and equipment

Strategic sales: Collaboration in project topics such as innovative negotiation design and participation in the creation of sales strategies

Offset: Supporting the preparation of offset offers, obtaining market data and supplier information and independently creating data-based dashboards

Independent, cross-functional tasks: Supporting the buyers and sellers in the implementation of ongoing projects

Qualifikationen

What you bring with you:

Degree - University degree in business administration, economics, business studies, industrial engineering or similar

Experience - Confident handling of electronic media, an interest in purchasing and sales processes and a good dose of curiosity would be an advantage

Negotiation and communication skills - You have a high degree of independence and enjoy negotiating and analyzing figures, data and facts as well as strong communication/teamwork skills and diligence

Personality - You score points with a combination of personality, sensitivity in dealing with business partners, quick comprehension, problem-solving skills, a high degree of reliability and commitment

Team spirit - You actively implement your high team orientation and thus shape a project culture with mutual support and strong cohesion

Tools - You are confident with Windows, PowerPoint and have excellent knowledge of Excel

Language - You are business fluent in German (at least level C1) and English and can ideally contribute intercultural competence and work experience
