    What We're Looking For:

    We're looking for a talented and strategic communications professional who brings creativity, experience, executive presence and a collaborative nature to their work. Reporting to the director, External Communications (Europe), this person will play an important role in crafting and executing our strategy for telling Prologis' company story to our customers, partners and other key audiences in Northern Europe, working closely with their corporate communications and marketing counterparts.

    Our ideal candidate will have the confidence and demonstrated experience of creating and maintaining strong relationships with members of the media and can develop and pitch stories in support of business objectives and growing brand awareness. We value outside-the-box PR thinking and strategies. The candidate should have some level of experience in public affairs PR, working on issues related to community engagement, government relations, and more. Experience in managing external public relations companies is essential.

    What you'll do:

  • Assume overall responsibility for the proactive and reactive management of all PR and Communications activity for Prologis in Northern Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden), working closely with your manager and Global Communications colleagues.
  • Work with senior management and marketing colleagues to understand business goals and create and deliver the annual communications and content plan that supports these goals;
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key reporters and outlets;
  • If necessary, manage external PR agency, agreeing and reviewing media relations activity on a regular basis;
  • Create a diverse range of written content for the business, including, but not limited to: press releases, media alerts, blogs and more. Work with the EU social media lead on content as necessary;
  • Develop thought leadership content that advances brand recognition for Prologis amongst key target audiences in Northern Europe;
  • Track and measure success with overall PR objectives (regional and enterprise);
  • Support Prologis in the event of crisis management, working with director, External Communications and the Global Communications team;
  • Proactively seek opportunities for targeted awards that will raise the company's profile in key areas, in coordination with other communications and marketing colleagues;
  • Work to help Prologis to be seen as a thought leaders in the sector and beyond, including identifying relevant speaker opportunities and supporting speakers' messaging.
  • To Be Successful, You Will:

  • Bring 6+ years of relevant experience in media/PR – a focus in real estate, commercial development, public affairs or community affairs a plus.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of relationships with business media.
  • Collaborative and thrive on working cross functionally
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Have excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; strong editing skills
  • Bilingual – fluency in German and English (written and spoken) – even better if you speak an additional language (Dutch, French or Swedish).
  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Have experience working in or managing a PR agency
  • Have previous crisis communications experience
  • Crisis management experience
  • A self starter with the ability to manage own workload
  • Knowledge of community and stakeholder engagement and of legislative and political landscape that affects the business
