(Junior) Software Engineer - Mainframe (m/f/d)

What you will be doing as a mover and shaper:

• Supporting clients in expanding existing applications and integrating new software components in the IBM Mainframe environment
• Taking responsibility for maintaining Mainframe IT systems
• Advising on the modernization of existing IT architectures
• Leading modernization projects and process optimizations for clients
• Being a knowledgeable contact person for the project team throughout all project phases
• Building and nurturing long-term customer relationships by utilizing our service offerings
• Exploring new trends like Cloud technology, Big Data, Microservices, APIs, and Artificial Intelligence to stay competitive in the market

What makes you a mover and shaper:

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Strong experience in software development
• Practical experience in the IBM Mainframe environment (COBOL programming language, DB2 database system, Mainframe Tools)
• Basic knowledge of relational database systems and query languages (SQL)
• Openness to understanding banking processes, data flows, and algorithms
• Ability to analyze data flows, error scenarios, and undocumented programs
• Interest in Cloud Technology, Agile Development, and DevOps
• Good command of German and English
• Flexibility in project assignments, including hybrid and on-site work
