To enhance the advancement of our new, compact infrared spectrometer, we seek a dynamic Biomedical Engineer who excels in conceptualizing, executing, and evaluating biomedical experiments and thrives on transitioning prototypes to finished products. This role is within a small yet formidable team, demanding an autonomous work approach and decisive mindset. Leveraging your analytical prowess, you'll pinpoint system weaknesses and innovate solutions for product enhancement. As a cutting-edge deep-tech startup, we seek versatile individuals who embody a myriad of talents.
Essential Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Medical Physics, or related disciplines.
Professional Experience: Minimum three years in industry or a Ph.D. in applied fields pertaining to medical engineering, preferably focusing on non-invasive methodologies.
Work Ethic: Solution-oriented, self-motivated, and analytically driven with a hands-on approach to product development.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English at C1 level; B2 level accepted with C1 level proficiency in German.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in script-based data processing (Python).
Team Collaboration: Effective communication skills and adeptness in presenting conclusive data.
General Attributes: Conscientiousness, reliability, autonomy, and clarity of expression.
Location: Willingness to primarily work onsite in Berlin-Adlershof.
Legal: Possession of a valid work permit in Germany.
Preferred Qualifications:
Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in MedTech device design and production, MedTech certifications, conducting human clinical studies, infrared spectroscopy, photoacoustic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy, and optical spectroscopy.
