    We are tackling global plastic pollution - and you will be a part of the solution

    At traceless, we are not just addressing global plastic pollution; we are leading the charge to eradicate it. Our groundbreaking technology transforms agricultural by-products into a pioneering sustainable biomaterial—biobased, plastic-free, and fully compostable. This revolutionary material leaves no harmful traces on our planet. Now, we are looking for a visionary Project Engineer to accelerate our journey from pilot to prominence.

    Your Role: Catalyzing Change from Pilot to Plant

    As a Project Engineer in Process Technology, you will be instrumental in scaling our technology from a nimble pilot setup to a full-scale industrial facility. Your expertise in plant engineering and process development will drive the creation of innovative solutions that position traceless as the unequivocal leader in compostable biomaterials. Design main process steps by scaling up from our pilot plant process.

    Your Impact:
    • Engineering Excellence: Design and refine main process steps, transitioning from pilot to industrial scale.
    • Strategic Documentation: Develop comprehensive process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and layout plans that set the foundation for scalable operations.
    • Sustainability Analysis: Evaluate the environmental impact of process designs, focusing on minimizing resource and energy consumption.
    • Detailed Descriptions: Generate functional descriptions for each process step to ensure clarity and consistency.
    • Experimental Leadership: Lead initiatives to test and select the best machinery for our processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Cost Management: Provide accurate estimates and manage investment costs for critical plant components.
    • Safety Protocols: Contribute to HAZOP studies and manage explosion risk prevention to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Operational Support: Aid in the installation of production plants and train staff to ensure smooth operation and maintenance.
    • Project Implementation: Collaborate in planning, designing, and implementing the construction of traceless's first industrial plant.

    Enjoy a dynamic work environment that blends the best of startup vibrancy with cutting-edge technology at our new TechHub in Hamburg-Harburg, the ISI center in Buchholz. Alternatively, work remotely or engage directly at one of our forthcoming international production sites.

    Your profile

    • Educational Background: You hold a degree in (bio-)process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field, providing you with a solid foundation in the principles of process technology.
    • Technical Expertise: You possess a robust understanding of wet-chemical processes and/or biomass production. Your experience extends to at least 3 years in plant design and engineering, ideally within the sustainability sector or industries with a focus on ecological impact.
    • Practical Skills: Beyond theory, you are hands-on and embrace the challenges of actual implementation. You do not hesitate to engage directly with the processes, ensuring optimal outcomes through a practical approach.
    • Project Management: You have demonstrated the ability to lead projects with initiative and innovation. You thrive on navigating complex challenges and driving projects to successful completion.
    • Innovative Thinking: Your approach to problem-solving is creative and solution-oriented. You are continually seeking out new ways to improve processes and outcomes.
    • Team Collaboration: You are a true team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor, making you a perfect fit for our collaborative and supportive environment.
    • Language Proficiency: You are fluent in both English and German, capable of communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively in both languages.
