In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the automobile generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure Mercedes-Benz's technological leadership in the future.

In our department at RD/EC, we are shaping a key aspect of electromobility for Mercedes-Benz: the charging and high-voltage system for our electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles with the associated charging services (e.g. the Mercedes-Benz Eco-Coach). We seek and find new solutions that contribute to shaping a sustainable future and inspire our customers.

Our contribution to the "Electric only" and "Ambition 9" corporate strategy covers the entire development process for new charging services, from the concept phase through to implementation in series production. We deal with customer needs (UI/UX), necessary IT interfaces between app and vehicle, the vehicle architecture itself and, of course, holistic system integration in future model series.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

Support in the development of a software prototype for a controlled charging service (Smart Charging)

Supporting the coordination of an agile software development process in coordination with the relevant internal and external interfaces

Continuous comparison of the prototype with other smart charging services in the development environment

Ensuring technical feasibility, taking into account the customer perspective and corporate strategy

Customer-oriented testing of the prototype for customer experience (CX) and user interface (UI)

Preparation and follow-up of regular meetings and committees

Qualifikationen

Degree in business informatics, engineering (e.g. energy technology, electromobility, renewable energies), industrial engineering, energy economics or a comparable course of study, ideally related to electromobility

Confident written and spoken German and English skills

Initial experience with Confluence, Jira, PowerBI and Mural

Confident handling of Microsoft

High level of initiative, solution-oriented thinking and ability to work in a team

Initial experience in the automotive or energy market environment is an advantage
