We are looking for a Global MidCorp Construction Underwriting Lead in Munich.Your Team
You will be part of the Construction Department, reporting directly to the Global Head of Construction MidCorp.
The Impact You Will Have
As a Senior Underwriter you will play a crucial role in shaping underwriting strategy withinMidCorp segment Your expertise will support underwriting portfolio across regions promoting growth profitability You will manage complex referrals support portfolio management contribute developing coaching experienced staff including local senior underwriters Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include Analyze portfolioperformance establish risk appetiteunderwriting rules that business strategy Support Operating Entities OEs implementing global strategy tailored local conditions portfolio steering Contribute defining criteria managing CAT exposure at both global local levels Develop thorough understanding market specifics engaging stakeholders internally externally Maintain frequent presence different markets representing CUO office overseeing implementation global projects Monitor Profit Loss P L supporting OEs defining tactical actions manage deviations achieve planned objectives Make decisions aligned functional rulesunderwriting authoritiesglobal strategy Support Allianz Academies acting facultydevelopingupdating training materials Aid development less experienced underwriters specific training sessionsglobal development initiatives Review update segmentation agreements annually according market needs assistanceUnderwritingGovernance What You Bring To Role Expertiseunderwritingsincludingportfoliomangementrisk assessment Strategic orientation experience multinational business environments Knowledge reinsurancepractices Strong communication presentation skills Proficiency projectsteering Fluency English Experience applying artificial intelligence AI machine learning ML improve business processes decisionmaking highly beneficial A Bachelor Degree Engineering Economics Mathematics
