Your Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and update documents to ensure the safety of existing facilities and equipment at our location.
• Develop and update safety reports in accordance with Störfallverordnung (extended scope).
• Design safety concepts for our chemical processes.
• Conduct safety assessments and continue processing of old facility assessments in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in international cooperation on process safety (conglomerate).
• Support and prepare (authority) audits as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the implementation of BImSchG application materials.
• Collaborate with the Safety, Health, and Environment Department on special safety topics.
• Work with expert organizations and technical units within the factory.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry with a focus on Process Technology/Technical Chemistry.
• Essential requirement: Long-term operating experience in a chemical production plant is required.
• Fundamental requirements: Interpretation of RI flow diagrams and safety technical data, knowledge of EMSR lockouts (SIL circuits).
• Basic knowledge in the field of hazard law, Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance, safety assessments (HAZOPs), occupational safety, environmental law (emissions, waste water), explosion protection.
• Knowledge in the field of environmental technology, chemistry, process technology.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Very good English language skills in writing and speaking.

Our Location in Minden:

For the last 80 years, Siegfried PharmaChemikalien Minden GmbH has been producing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and corresponding intermediates at its Minden facility to meet worldwide demand from the pharmaceutical industry. We also produce ingredients for the cosmetics and food industries.

• Development and commercial manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and corresponding intermediates.
