Social work in formal, non-formal and informal educational contexts is a central component of contemporary strategies for promoting educational equity, social participation and sustainable educational success.
In the school context in particular, social work makes a significant contribution to socially securing educational processes, supporting transitions, reducing disadvantages and creating inclusive learning and development conditions.
At the same time, social work is effective in other educational settings such as daycare centres, family and community centres and youth clubs, where it supports educational processes at an early stage, anchors them in the everyday world and links them to family and social resources.
At the interface between education, child and youth welfare, and municipal structures, social work strengthens coherent educational biographies and makes a significant contribution to the opening up and social expansion of educational institutions.
We are looking for a person with relevant expertise who can take on tasksinteaching,research andtransfer in at leasttwo of the following subject areas:
Counselling, case management and casuistry with multi-professional cooperation in educational and transitional situations (work at the interfaces of school, daycare, youth welfare and socio-spatial support settings)
Professional relationship building, cooperation and de-escalation strategies in educational institutions
Educational equity, individual support, transition planning in individual educational pathways, child- and family-oriented support strategies
Peer learning, group, class and family projects and programmes
Bridging functions between educational institutions, families, networks and neighbourhoods
Participatory processes in formal educational contexts.
Your Qualifications
In addition to the legal requirements for employment according to
43 passage 1 points 1 to 3 and 4b of the Brandenburg University Act (Brandenburgisches Hochschulgesetz -BbgHG) you fulfil the following requirements:
a degree in social work, social sciences or educational science and several years of professional experience in the social sciences in a field relevant to the above tasks,
special achievements in the generation or application of scientific knowledge related to the above-mentioned topics, demonstrated by the acquisition of or participation in research projects, development and model projects, evaluation studies or publications,
relevant teaching experience in a higher education context, and
very good German and English language skills.
Beyond that, we would like you to
further develop our didactic principle of research-led teaching through specific research and transfer formats that are interlinked with teaching,
be open to developing digital teaching formats and English-language courses,
be interested in interdisciplinary teaching, research and transfer into practice,
be committed to raising the profile of our focus area '

further expand our regional and international cooperation in teaching, research and practice, and
bring passion and resilience to teaching, research, transfer, academic self-administration and inclusive departmental development.
