- You are responsible and perform one of four case studies in the project CoModHaz
- You will develop the toxicity screening parameter CTE (cumulative toxicity equivalents) for a diverse range of phenolic benzotriazoles
- You develop dosing and exposure measurement methods for (super)hydrophobic compounds
- You measure effects on fish cell lines and quantify exposure in the 384-well plate system using solid-phase microextraction for a smaller set of representative phenolic benzotriazoles
- You develop and a apply a model for exposure of these chemicals
- You screen a larger set of phenolic benzotriazoles in several bioassays of the CoModHaz testbattery with predicted exposure
- You work with UVCB compounds of this class and apply mixture toxicity concepts
- You collaborate with CoModHaz team members and projects partners from industry, regulation (national authorities), NGOs and academia,
- You work with a team of toxicologists to make high-throughput in vitro bioassays applicable for hazard assessment of chemicals and perform a case study
- You work on coupling high-throughput biodegradation assay with the bioassays to quantify "persistent toxicity"
- You apply and partially implement in vitro bioassays targeting cytotoxicity, neurotoxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and reproduction toxicity (CMR) and endocrine disruption (ED).
- You present results at international conferences and prepare publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

- A Master or PhD in environmental sciences, (eco)toxicology, biology, (analytical) chemistry, bioanalysis or related areas
- Research experience with in vitro bioassays, human toxicology or ecotoxicology essential
- Experience with analytical chemistry desirable
- High degree of organisation and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills (English required, German desirable)
- Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team within an international project.
