Your Responsibilities

• You will start with us for a maximum of 20 hours a week
• You continuously monitor news agencies, online publishers, and social media
• You provide topics and images to the editorial teams
• You are responsible for event or incident-related live monitoring (shows, breaking news)
• Procuring photo and video content is one of your tasks
• You focus on verifying facts and sources

• You are a enrolled student and have at least two years of studies left
• You enjoy online research and have an interest in stories from politics, business, VIP, and sports
• You stand out with strong communication skills and a convincing presence
• You are characterized by resilience, flexibility, and commitment
• You work in shifts and are willing to work nights and weekends

Your Team

RTL NEWS is the most effective journalistic unit for cross-media news, investigative and independent journalism, as well as documentaries in Germany. As a member of a very young team of 20 people, you are responsible for monitoring various sources such as news agencies, social media, and various video and photo agencies. You are the first point of contact for topic identification and order research. Cross-media and cross-departmentally, we quickly find video content on current news events, colorful magazine topics, and accompany sports events through social media monitoring. We value good spirits, openness, and a great team spirit. In the broadcast center in Cologne, we work as a team or sit in the editorial offices to support the programs immediately. At live events (NFL, soccer), we work in the control room with our community hosts. We look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you to our team.
