A multinational Technology provider are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fiber optic networks, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, conducting site surveys, and utilizing CAD software to create detailed designs. The Fiber Designer will play a crucial role in the planning and implementation of fiber optic infrastructure projects, contributing to the advancement of telecommunications and network connectivity.

Responsibilities

• with engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine optimal routes for fiber optic cables.
• fiber optic networks using CAD software, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
• detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation for fiber optic installations.
• designs for efficiency, reliability, and scalability, considering factors such as bandwidth requirements, signal loss, and environmental conditions.
• with contractors, technicians, and other stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of fiber optic projects.
• feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed designs.
• updated on advancements in fiber optic technology and industry best practices.
• design issues and provide technical support during project implementation.
• with project managers to ensure timely completion of deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

Requirements

• certification in fiber optic design or related field (e.g., CFOT, RCDD).
• with GIS software for mapping and geospatial analysis.
