Summary

About the Position This position is located at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Serves as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in a general medical and surgical hospital, independently performing complex and highly specialized procedures in the radiology department (i.e., Diagnostics, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Surgery and Orthopedics).

Duties

• Schedule, receive, and review requests from physicians and other health care providers for examinations.
• Determine the condition(s) at issue and the procedures and equipment to best meet the needs of the individual case.
• Explain procedures to patient and family.
• Prepare and administer contrast material as directed by the Radiologist.
• Develop, maintain, and review Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Control (QC) programs.
• Assist the supervisor in developing quality control procedures for new radiologic examinations.
• Instruct medical, professional, and paraprofessional personnel in the theoretical and practical aspects of quality assurance and quality control.
