    The Key Responsibilites:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of physical and virtual servers based on Linux systems, including HP HP-Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant and HP 3PAR-Storage
  • Administration of Linux servers, including RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS
  • Management and operation of high-performance server clusters (Pacemaker)
  • Managing databases such as Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL
  • Incident management (2nd Level Support) for RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS systems, as well as patch management for RedHat Enterprise Linux versions 6, 7 and 8
  • Change, release and configuration management
  • Participation in projects
  • Desired skills & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in Linux system administration, in particular with RedHat Enterprise Linux Server (nice to have CentOS knowledge)
  • Linux system administration skills
  • Experience working on complex design tasks
  • Good virtualization skills (VMware, vCenter, RedHat Enterprise Virtualisierung)
  • Solid skills in network technology, TCP/IP, Switching and Routing
  • Experience operating SAN storage systems
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of responsibility, resilience and organizational talent
  • Category B driving license and willingness to make occasional business trips
  • Fluent knowledge of German
  • Very good knowledge of English (C1)
