Spencer Ogden are partnered with an International Renewables Developer, seeking a Project Development Expert to lead the location sourcing and acquisition of new sites for future solar development across Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively searching and sourcing suitable land for solar projects, combined with potential energy storage solutions.
• Establishing and maintaining close relationships with local landowners (mainly farmers, property owners).
• Negotiating and successfully completing land use agreements.
• Being an ongoing point of contact between the company and local landowners and other stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining key relationships with local land agents across the Germany.
• Maintaining key relationships across all stakeholder groups (local groups, other landowners, local councils, associations, etc.).
• Taking part in community engagement events when we go into the pre-planning stage or other events that may be required for the development process.

Requirements:

• Experience of identifying and acquiring land for large-scale renewable energy projects
• Experience in the development process for large scale projects
• Experience liaising with landowners, agents, consultants and legal advisors
• Knowledge of Option to Lease land rights agreements is essential
• Excellent negotiator
• Ability to forge long-term professional relationships with landowners and land agents
