- Help making critical decisions regarding software design & development
- Improving and solidifying the application architecture
- Maintain a complete overview of all the WebApp components and their interactions
- Extending and maintaining a scalable Big Data full-stack application
- Select and maintain appropriate databases to ensure optimal performance and scalability
- Collaborating with other team members to define, design, and deploy new features
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and requirements
- Identifying and addressing technical debt and other areas for improvement
- Proven experience designing & developing complex software infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with key DevOps tools, like Terraform, Kubernetes & GitHub Actions (or similar)
- Hands-on experience working with SQL & NoSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Ability to understand the components of a complex Web App and their interactions
- Practical experience deploying complex software with Docker
- Expertise with object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java or similar)
- Solid understanding of frontend development technologies (TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, React, or similar)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or similar)
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or equivalent
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership over projects, from inception to deployment
- Capable of contributing to major decisions regarding software design and taking responsibility for their implementation
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Innovative thinking: Ability to think out of the box and solve new problems
- Very good communication skills
- Proficiency in English, German is a plus
- Experience with big data technologies (Apache Spark or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Good knowledge of AI frameworks and technologies, NLP
- Prior knowledge of agile methods (Scrum, SAFe)

The role: Software Engineer with DevOps Experience
