- Responsible for preparing process engineering calculations and documentation
- Verify & develop Process Flow Diagrams and Heat & Material Balances
- Define utility conditions and consumption
- Support Hazard & Operability Study (HAZOP) review
- Review and develop Process, Utility and Auxiliary P&IDs
- Participate in technical discussions and meetings with customers and partners
- Support Optimization Study
- Prepare Operations Manual, and training materials and provide support with operator training, commissioning and start-up
- Attend conferences, and prepare technical presentations
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Day to day communications and liaison with customers, partners, technical team of EMEA, and other relevant departments at MHI's HQ in Japan to engage proactively on technical issues.
- Experience in carbon capture, chemical, oil and gas or power (utility) sector.
- Experience in Feasibility Study, FEED and detailed engineering studies
- Experience / interest in Net Zero solutions and the wide carbon value chain
- Ability to grasp and willingness to learn technical concepts.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complicated concepts.
- Ability to develop new contacts, network, and public speak.
- Strong research, qualitative analysis, and quantitative analysis.
- Familiarity with EPC projects and contracts.
- Ability to travel (both domestic and international)
- Ability to motivate, and manage oneself, proactively managing workload and decision making through contact with appropriate team members when required.
- Degree required and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Chemical Engineering or similar and / or technology research background also preferable
- Experience in both academia and the engineering world (practical / field based) preferred

The Process Engineer is expected to support the carbon capture business in EMEA region. This includes but is not limited to, collecting, documenting and analysing data, preparing technical evaluations, engineering documents and deliverables, communicating with customers to lead technical meetings/discussions, and working closely with business development staff to secure new business and execute projects.
