- Working on the component level, developing and operating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test benches with different vehicle components, testing their functionality before integration into the overall system/vehicle.
- Tasks range from planning and commissioning test benches, developing Restbus simulations, creating automated test cases and conducting them, to analyzing and documenting results.
- Supporting the maintenance of existing HiL environments and building new environments for future components, integrating them into the existing overall testing strategy with colleagues.
- Utilizing technical specifications and common tools to develop automated test cases and analyses (e.g., partial functions) at this level.
- Independently handling communication and coordination with clients and developers, effective task, deadline, and cost planning, continuous maintenance and development aligning priorities with your team leader.
- Collaborating with other KION sites, business units, service providers, external companies, and suppliers to ensure smooth project implementation, supported by test technicians.
- Essential qualifications include a completed technical degree (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Computer Science).
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches (e.g., IPG CarMaker), and understanding of control units and embedded software.
- Good knowledge of programming with C# or Python.
- Proficiency in working with CAN bus and related tools (CANoe/CANape).
- Desirable skills in test case creation (ECU test).
- Ideally, additional certification as ISTQB Certified Tester.
- As a communicative team player with a passion for working in an international environment, you possess excellent German and English language skills both written and spoken.
