We are currently looking for a
Senior Legal Counsel (m/d/f) to join our team and be part of our continued success and growth.

WHAT YOU ́LL DO
Reporting directly to our Chief Legal Officer, your role will primarily be to:

Draft, review and amend contracts for customers, partners and suppliers in German and English
Negotiate and defend Pliant's contracting positions, and find nonstandard solutions where necessary, to achieve successful outcomes
Work closely with onboarding functions where required to ensure that the customer service offering across Pliant onboarding is seamless
Liaise with the Business, Credit, Risk, Underwriting, Operations and other internal stakeholders as necessary to ensure that the appropriate terms are included in all agreements to ensure the effective protection of Pliant
Assess customer's business models and advise the credit team how to mitigate Pliant's credit risk
Administer and constantly optimize our contract management system, to ensure we track relevant KPIs and stay compliant with all signed agreements
Advise and train internal stakeholders on contracting
Support with other legal matters as needed

WHAT YOU ́LL BRING

You will have obtained a Law degree in Germany
A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience, with specific know how around contract negotiation in a regulated environment
Knowledgeable in general legal and compliance requirements within B2B
A problem solving business mindset, with an interest in financial service offerings
High proficiency in English both written and spoken
Proven ability to take a pragmatic approach to contracting in a multinational and fastpaced environment

NICE TO HAVE EXTRA SKILLS

Knowledge/experience in the financial industry, digital advertising, software contracting, intellectual property rights and/or data protection
Specific knowledge in structured finance, securitisation and/or lending
Additional languages would be an advantage
