JOB TITLE:
Production Assistant-REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor-DEPARTMENT: Production-DATE ISSUED: April 2012- PURPOSE OF ROLE

The job exists to provide a resources for transporting materials in the packing areas and to provide washouts where applicable.
OBJECTIVES
To ensure that materials, components, intermediates and finished products are transported to and from the production lines in a safe and efficient manner.
To maintain high standards of cleanliness when washing out.
KEY TASKS

3.1 To complete weekly/daily pre-operational truck safety checks;
3.2 To maintain all trucks in good working order following defined procedures;
3.3 To tranship finished and intermediate goods to storage areas;
3.4 To ensure that components are delivered to production lines when required;- 3.5 To ensure that completed product is removed from the production lines when required;- 3.6 To liaise with all relevant personnel within the packing areas and warehouse;- 3.7 To ensure that sufficient stocks of pallets are available to meet the needs of all areas;- 3.8 To be a member of the changeover and cleaning teams;- 3.9 To be a member of the set up team;- 3.10 To complete documentation in a neat and accurate manner, as detailed in relevant procedures;- 3.11 To provide a back up resource for other areas within the company governed by production demands;- 3.12 To provide an efficient service when washing out to the production team and to be responsible for following set instructions.
