TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Advisor Electricity Market Design (all genders) at our location Bayreuth/Germany who will contribute to this and that might be you?

Your contribution to TenneT:

- _Advisor Electricity Market Design (all genders)_ you are responsible for improving the way the electricity market works in Germany and Europe.

Relevant market design aspects are for instance:
system adequacy, ancillary services, congestion management, locational signals, off shore market structures and demand response.

In close collaboration with your colleagues you ensure that we have a good understanding of the functioning of the current market design and planned changes; that we have good insight in proposed modifications and the motivation of stakeholders to pursue such modifications
You develop a TenneT position on proposed market design changes based on the interest of the TSO and society at large
You develop strategies to influence decisions in line with the TenneT position. All of this requires proactive analysis and stakeholder management
You will represent TenneT externally in project teams and working groups on (aspects) of market design
You will work in the Market Design Department which is a Dutch-German team of highly educated and motivated people

Your profile and background:

You have an academic degree in economics, engineering or mathematics or you have a similar qualification
You have indepth knowledge of the European energy sector, notably the electricity market
Preferably you bring in a broad network and contacts in the electricity sector, such as TSOs, DSOs, policy makers, regulators, power exchanges and energy companies
You are able to structure new ideas to implementable concepts and it is easy for you to work in a highly dynamic environment
You are able to align TenneT interests with those of external stakeholders
Language skills in Dutch/German and English, verbal and in writing at level B2 or higher
Openness to frequent travelling to the various TenneT locations and in Europe
