Job description:


Your tasks:


  • Working on international tax policy and administration issues, providing technical advice and supporting the implementation of ATI activities
  • Facilitating the strategic development of the ATI, strengthening its stakeholder and relationship management
  • Cooperating closely with the ATI Steering Committee and working groups, including the preparation and followup of their (virtual) meetings
  • Advising and assisting in communication and network management of the ATI
  • Implementing and managing the process of preparing studies as well as background and policy papers on tax and development issues
  • Planning and implementing virtual and hybrid international workshops and conferences
  • Monitoring relevant international tax policy and administration developments
  • Contributing to the monitoring and reporting requirements as well as knowledge management processes and other general activities of the Good Financial Governance Programme

Your profile:


  • University degree in economics, political science, administration or law at master level (or equivalent)
  • Several years of professional experience and relevant expertise in international development cooperation as well as in the field of public finance with a focus on taxation in developing countries, and preferably also with regard to European countries
  • Several years of professional experience and relevant expertise in advising and cooperating with partner institutions
  • Proven work experience in network management and in moderating multistakeholder groups, including experience in the organisation and moderation of (virtual) conferences and exchange platforms as well as excellent coordination skills
  • Excellent knowledge of taxation and international development processes and actors
  • Advanced competencies in strategic and conceptual thinking and proven analytical, communication and selforganisational skills
  • High customer/client orientation as well as strong competencies in engaging with highranking political officials
  • Business fluent in German and English; additional language skills in French or Spanish are an advantage

Notes:

This job is suited to a full or a part-time position.

The willingness for frequent business trips is required.
