We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student occupation in the area of deep learning for automated driving perception.

In automated driving state of the art deep neural networks (DNNs) are used for perception tasks.

Methods that improve robustness and reliability of such DNNs are important to ensure that they are suitable for series production.

Ypi will evaluate some methods for robustification, uncertainty estimation and interpretability. The evaluation is based on DNNs for pedestrian detection and semantic segmentation.


What awaits you?

What should you bring along?

  • Strong knowledge in machine learning.
  • Good programming skills.
  • Proficiency with Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
  • Good English skills.
