Your Role

You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data & Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS.

Within the Enterprise Data Management Team of our rapidly growing Data & Analytics organisation, you will help our business units to design, build, and maintain knowledge-based systems and shape our semantic stack.

Your direct roles and responsibilities include:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions
Drive innovative solutions for data and knowledge management, supporting the full lifecycle of ZEISS products from development and production to aftersales, evaluate the latest tools and technologies (including Knowledge Graphs, Large Language Models, etc), shape our roadmaps & architectural decisions in building up a semantic stack
Jointly with our business partners, develop and maintain products, define and prioritize product roadmap and features in line with business goals and customer needs
Help the development team to prioritize and develop a solution and solve all surfacing problems considering time & budget
Be hands-on and work closely with the team to implement solutions, not just delegate and track. Continuously improve quality and performance while owning products from idea to operations
Define, develop and operate our enterprise-scale semantic platform based on knowledge graph and Large Language Models incl. infrastructure as a business service in easily deployable, configurable ways and respond to data and platform infrastructure issuesYour Profile
An excellent university degree (MSc/PhD) in information technology, computer science, natural sciences, or similar training-
Passionate individual with strong communication and visualization skills to convince stakeholders of your ideas and align with them on complex technical decisions
Experience with project & product management in an agile team setup (e.g., scrum) for development and deployment of data-driven solutions
Expert understanding of machine actionable languages (e.g., RDF), linked data principles and standards, & OWL-based ontology modeling in commonly used tools. Experience with Machine Learning / Deep Learning, Large Language Models (e.g., GPT) and Natural Language Processing is a plus
Excellent programming skills in Python, including mastering the standard libraries data science and object-oriented design; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus-
Experienced with cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Azure DevOps)
Big Data (e.g., Spark)
CI/CD using e.g., git, docker
